Sheldon Jackson

With a construction background as an Electrical Contractor, Sheldon and his business partner purchased multi-family infill lots in some of the better Seattle neighborhoods. They developed apartment projects with the goal to construct a higher quality product than the competition were building but holding at market rents. They were able to attain high occupancy rates with better tenants. In 1990, Seattle's economy and growth had already taken off and Spokane was still stuck in neutral. Sheldon saw an opportunity to make a lifestyle change plus take advantage of a market ready to break out of a long non-growth period. He felt that there must be other professionals and business owners that were tired of the traffic, long commutes and the high cost of living of being located in a large city and would find the Inland Northwest as an attractive alternative.

Sheldon's first project was a water front land development in North Idaho just outside Sandpoint. Wanting to get back into the development and construction of buildings, Sheldon saw an opportunity in commercial real estate. In 1991, he started work as a commercial real estate agent. The market was saturated with agents representing Landowners and Landlords, with very few agents providing tenant representation. Sheldon has used his knowledge of real estate, construction and development to help a wide variety of commercial tenants to successfully locate to the Inland Northwest. He has and will provide brokerage services, development services as a Landlord/Owner, development services as a fee representative or any combination as the Tenant's needs warrant. Sheldon's development strategy has not changed since his early days in Seattle, purchase quality sites and build quality projects at competitive market rates. This strategy will provide the highest occupancy rates for the Landlord and will give the Tenant a better chance for success.
